How do I establish online access to my account?
|
- Verify that your web
browser is 128-bit capable (more information below).
- Make sure you have
your account number and social security number
handy. You will also need the name of the Davis Fund(s) in which you invest. This information is found on your most recent statement.
- Read and agree to the
"Terms and Conditions" each time before you sign in to your online access.
- If you are a
first-time user, you will need to create
your PIN, or Personal Identification Number on
the Account Selection screen. Each time you log
onto the Account Access system you will need to
enter the PIN you created. Do not provide your
PIN to anyone.
- Once you establish
your PIN, you will have immediate access to your Davis Funds accounts. You may use your fund name, account number, social security number, and PIN to access your account online. You may change your PIN at any time.

What software do I need to access my account online?
|
|
In order to access your account online, your web browser must be capable of utilizing 128-bit encryption. Contact your browser's manufacturer to ensure that the version you using is 128-bit capable. If you use Netscape Navigator or Communicator, or Microsoft Internet Explorer, you may download the 128-bit versions from their websites (click on the links above to go directly to the download sites for either manufacturer).
We recommend that you update your browser to the most current version available, as older versions (Netscape Navigator versions 4.05 and earlier and Microsoft Internet Explorer for Macintosh version 4.01 and earlier) contain a security component that is set to expire at the end of 1999 (not a Y2K issue).
It is extremely important that you utilize the most current browser available due to the expiration of this security component. Without it, the security of your data transmission cannot be ensured.
To ensure easy and secure access to your accounts, use the 128-bit encrypted version of Netscape Navigator 4.08 or above, or Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.51 and above. If you use America Online®, go to keyword: 128 BROWSER.
If you experience problems downloading or installing the 128-bit version of your browser, contact your browser manufacturer for support.

How secure are online transactions?
|
|
Access to your account is available only through a web browser capable of utilizing 128-bit strong encryption for secure financial transactions. The Davis Funds online account access system utilizes advanced security technology to ensure secure connection to your account. As an additional security measure, a confirmation letter will be mailed to the address on record in 5 - 7 business days from the date you established your Personal Identification Number (PIN). For security reasons, our system permits three attempts to enter your PIN. If you incorrectly enter your PIN three times, the system will suspend your PIN. If this happens, call our customer service department at 1-800-279-0279 between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. MST, Monday through Friday.

What if I have a question or problem?
|
- If you forget or disable your PIN, you may contact our customer service department. A customer service representative will require that you provide additional security information before re-establishing your online access. For your security, Davis will send a confirmation letter to the address of record anytime you forget your PIN and wish to re-establish access.
- If you have difficulty processing a transaction, an error message will instruct you to re-process the transaction or correct certain information. If you encounter additional problems, you may contact our customer service department. Please note the error number you receive and provide that information to customer service when you call. Each of our customer service representatives is trained to assist you with your online access.
- If for any reason, you wish to discontinue or prevent online access to your account, you may contact the customer service department. A customer service representative will suspend your online access until further notice. If you wish to re-establish access after this request, you will need to provide a letter of instruction signed by all account owners and verified with a medallion guarantee.
